Beautiful job. I need help restoring a decent comparable peugeot that i just purchased. Is there a mechanic or class that I might attend that you know of. Also, having trouble putting the back wheel back on because of not remembering the derailer position. Any recommendation there. Thx. D

Hi Andrea, the brakes used are center-pull Weinmann Vainquer 999 brakes that were re-branded Peugeot.
Beautiful! Funny I found an early 70s U08 literally hanging in a tree here in LA! It was missing the back wheel and a bunch of crap but schlepped it home and tossed it in my garage. Just cleaning it up now. Needs a ton of work including: shifter/ derailer/ sprocket/ rear wheel/ rear brake/ chain/ and seat to start. Doesn’t fit me so going to get it up and running and see what I can get for it.
